Not for the beginner -incomplete and misleading

This book is certainly not a complete guide. If you buy just one book on oriental rugs this should not be the one. It is overly simplistic in some area and overly detailed in others.
It is neither a good book on new rugs nor of antique rugs as it is quite outdated. Still if you have a collection of rug books already and know the subject well some nuggets of information can be gleaned from this book.

Many typo errors in kindle edition surely not seen in original hard copy. Book is dated (1960's) but of interest to rug enthusiasts.
